On 18th January 2025 , As a part of our academic and practical learning, Mrs. Manisha David and Ms. Sakshi Singh, accompanied by B.Sc. Nursing 6th semester students, conducted an educational visit to The Hope Rehabilitation and Learning Centre situated in Jankipuram, Lucknow.
This center is dedicated to the therapy, care, and education of children with neurodevelopmental conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and more.
During the visit, the students were introduced to the center’s mission and services through an orientation session led by the staff. They observed therapy sessions such as occupational therapy, speech therapy, and behavioral therapy, which provided them with firsthand knowledge of various interventions used to support these children. Interacting with the patients allowed the students to witness the challenges these children face, as well as the dedication required in their care.
The visit was an invaluable experience, emphasizing the importance of early intervention, individualized care plans, and multidisciplinary teamwork in pediatric rehabilitation. Students gained practical exposure to therapeutic techniques, enhancing their empathy and understanding of the role nurses play in such settings.
